River’s Bend Outfitters is a family-owned hunting business. Since establishing in 1976, we have proudly grown into one of the largest guided hunting operations in Colorado. We own 15 separate permit camps for archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons. Our expertise of the mountain terrain and big game hunting come from decades of knowledge.

For more than 45 years, River’s Bend Outfitters has called these lands our home, providing successful hunting trips as well as guided fishing and summer camping trips to sportsmen and families from around the world.

Elk, Mule Deer, Bighorn Sheep, Bear, and Moose

River’s Bend Outfitters primarily guides for Rocky Mountain Elk hunts and White Mule Deer hunts but will also guide clients who draw Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, bear, and moose tags. We never mix camps and keep groups small for the best experience. We take all experience levels and work closely with our hunters to ensure they feel prepared, safe, and excited about their trip.

Our Location

We are located in Meeker, Colorado in the White River National Forest. The area is home to the largest Rocky Mountain Elk herd in North America. Our 15 private permits run through USDA Forest Service and give us special access to guide in some of the most wild, remote, and game-filled areas. All camps sit in Unit 24, and are only accessible by foot or horseback. No motor vehicles are allowed. Camp locations range in elevation from 9,000 ft. to 11,000 ft. above sea level.
