What to Know Before You Go

Gear

There is a 200 lbs. weight limit on all gear.  River’s Bend Outfitters will provide one packhorse per person.  All personal items should be in army-size duffle bags. Duffle bags that are larger than 18 inches wide and 34 inches long will not be packed in. If an extra horse is needed, there will be an additional charge of $350 for each horse. Hunting licenses are not provided by the Outfitter.

After you have bagged your animal, you need to clean, skin, quarter the animal, and hang it in a tree. We will take care of it from there.

*We require that all hunters have at least one way of contacting us while in our remote hunting camps. Satellite phone or a Garmin inReach are recommended and available to rent from various providers.

Food

For Guided Wilderness Hunts, we will provide three meals/day and all cooking utensils. For Wilderness Drop Camps, the hunter provides their own food and cooking utensils. We encourage all hunters for both guided hunts and drop camps to pack snacks.

It is best for all food, cooking utensils , and gear to go in your standard 48 qt. coolers. All coolers and duffle bags should already be weighed with weights written on them. If possible two coolers and duffle bags should be the same weight so that we can balance them on the horse.
